Matty Cash has taken to Twitter to issue a one-word verdict on what Conor Hourihane did for Barnsley back in 2017, before his move to Aston Villa.

The Sky Bet Championship’s official Twitter account posted a video of the Irishman’s stunning long-range winner against Nottingham Forest from back in January 2017.

After seeing the wondergoal, Cash tweeted the post below.

It’s hard to argue with the ex-Nottingham Forest right-back’s verdict – it really was a strike to behold from the 29-year-old against Cash’s former side.

It was Forest who Villa handed £16 million to back in the summer for the 23-year-old’s signature, and he has shone so far at Villa Park.

Cash has started seven Premier League games under Dean Smith so far this season, helping Villa to sixth in the table, just three points off the top.

The Midlands-based outfit have won five of their seven Premier League games so far in what has been an excellent campaign.

WhoScored shows that Cash has been a big part of that, specifically from a defensive aspect.

He records 3.3 tackles, three interceptions and 3.7 clearances per game in the Premier League this season, which is truly impressive.

What would be more impressive, however, would be for Cash to thump in a strike like Hourihane’s at the Holte End.
