Kylian Mbappe and Presnel Kimpembe are among a number of Paris Saint-Germain players who are backing a transfer for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele in January.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who report Ndombele’s agent met PSG chiefs in Paris on Saturday to discuss a deal. Mauricio Pochettino is keen to reunite with the Frenchman this month, with Antonio Conte willing to let him leave north London and join the Argentinian.
Conte has rarely elected to give Ndombele a key presence in his plans since replacing Nuno Espirito Santo at Spurs. But the 25-year-old rejected moves to Italy with Roma and Napoli, or Spain with Atletico Madrid. So, he is now closing in on a return to France in a late deal.

Talks between Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham over Ndombele’s transfer will continue on Sunday after Les Parisiens met his agent. The midfielder favours a switch to Le Parc des Princes this month, having maintained a close relationship with Pochettino since his firing.
Ndombele and Pochettino have remained in regular contact since Daniel Levy sacked the 49-year-old in November 2019. The now-PSG coach was also instrumental in the £200k-a-week technician’s arrival from Lyon in a club-record £54m transfer, which can reach £63m.
Mbappe backs Paris Saint-Germain to sign Tottenham’s Ndombele
Pochettino had wanted to sign Ndombele from Tottenham in the summer transfer window, as well, but Paris Saint-Germain Director of Football Leonardo refused to sanction the deal.

Yet Leonardo is now willing to strike a deal with Spurs to reinforce their engine room in the mid-season market. And £166m megastar Mbappe, plus teammate Kimpembe, also back a move for Les Parisiens to acquire their compatriot, who Tim Sherwood called a ‘maverick’.
Talks between Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain over Ndombele have so far focused on a loan transfer, per The Guardian. Spurs would also prefer PSG cover his entire wage, but the clubs have discussed the north Londoners remaining responsible for at least a percentage.
