Canadian talent Liam Millar is making a big impact at Liverpool.

If Dominic Solanke cannot seize his chance in the Liverpool first team, the Reds have a number of top young talents waiting for their opportunities.

Ben Woodburn and Rhian Brewster have already made names for themselves, and the latest youngster to really make a name for himself is Liam Millar.

The Canada under-20 international has had a sensational start to the season, and scored 16 goals already.

Three of these came last night in a 5-1 FA Youth Cup victory over Hartlepool.

His form has impressed under-18 coach Steven Gerrard, who praised his performance.

Gerrard told Liverpool’s official website: “Liam was electric tonight. His all-round game was quality.

“I’ve seen Liam play this season, score goals but still be a little bit loose in his play, but tonight his performance was on the money.

“His movement was excellent, he was sharp, he kept the ball for us, never stopped working and looked a threat.”

It was the second hat-trick the 18-year-old has scored this season, and he has a real chance to establish himself by starring in the club’s FA Youth Cup run.

Millar has two goals in the UEFA Youth League this season, and he is quickly becoming a player everybody at Anfield should be getting very excited about.
