Speculation about Kim Min-jae joining Tottenham Hotspur might be set to intensify.
The South Korea international, who plays alongside Son Heung-min at international level, has been heavily linked with a move to Spurs in recent weeks.
Earlier this month, it was reported by Footballist that an unspecified European club had submitted an offer for the towering Beijing Guoan centre-back, whose nickname is ‘Monster’.
Things have been a bit quieter lately, but this might get hot again in the very near future.
Kim, who stands at 6’3, was left out of the squad for the 2-1 win away to Chongqing Lifan earlier today.
Sky Sports reported recently that Kim was in a 14-day quarantine after returning to China later than expected, but that was well over a week ago and it remains to be seen if he has left self-isolation yet.
This could be nothing and could have no relevance to Tottenham whatsoever, but it’s always very interesting when a reported transfer target fails to make a squad and time will tell if it’s transfer related or not.
