FC Barcelona are reportedly eyeing Liverpool star Mohamed Salah as a potential replacement for Ousmane Dembele, who is wanted by Tottenham ahead of the summer.
According to AS, Xavi Hernandez is eager to add more to Barcelona’s attack in the transfer window beyond Raphinha, with the Leeds United attacker set to join the La Liga giants after personal terms were agreed this weekend for the Brazilian international.
As per the report, whilst Dembele’s form has improved hugely in recent weeks, there’s still a strong chance that the winger will leave Barcelona this summer, and Salah is being eyed as the dream replacement for the Catalan side.
The Liverpool superstar’s future remains up in the air as the Merseyside club continue to struggle to tie the winger down to a new contract, with Salah’s current deal set to expire in 2023, and this has seemingly alerted those at Barcelona.
Hailed as ‘extraordinary’ by Ian Wright, the Egyptian winger is regarded by many as the best player in world football this season, and with Barcelona willing to offload a player they signed for a reported £136m, Salah could be the best replacement possible this summer.
Indeed, Salah’s future with Liverpool grows more concerning by the day, and with Barcelona ready to target the attacker if Dembele does leave for a reported move to Tottenham, those at Anfield should be worried about what’s to come this summer.
Liverpool need to wrap up Salah’s contract with Barcelona watching

Salah’s contract should be top of Liverpool’s priority list as we head into the transfer window, and with Barcelona starting to show signs of interest, the Reds need to be on their toes to wrap up the winger’s contract in the coming days.
Whilst it is still likely that the Egyptian will sign a new deal to stay at Anfield, there’s a growing concern that Salah could now leave Liverpool, and with Barcelona willing to sign the winger, Jurgen Klopp’s side must do all they can to sign the attacker down to a fresh contract.
