Marseille are emerging as contenders to sign Tottenham midfielder Moussa Sissoko in the summer after a disappointing season for the Frenchman.
Sissoko has not been able to establish himself in the Tottenham XI and it is expected Spurs will attempt to cut their losses.
French website Le10 Sport yesterday reported Marseille’s desire to bring Sissoko back to France, with club ambassador Basile Boli allegedly holding informal discussions with the midfielder. This follows RTL reporting earlier this month that Sissoko is high on the club’s summer wishlist.

Sissoko’s potential signing has become a big topic of discussion for Marseille, and fans have responded to a poll on fan website Le Phoceen over whether they would welcome him.
More than 15,000 supporters responded, and the results are overwhelming.
At time of publication, the results to the question ‘should Marseille try and sign Sissoko?’ are as followed:
– 83% – Yes, they have to
-13% – Yes, only as plan B
– 4% – No, under no circumstances
Sissoko’s profile remains high in France after his Euro 2016 exploits, and Tottenham should try and take advantage of this.
