Niall Brookwell is a name Liverpool fans should keep an eye on.

Liverpool coach Steven Gerrard has had a lot of success with the under-18s since taking over and is setting up a group of talented players for first team success.
Youngsters Curtis Jones and Rafael Camacho trained with Liverpool’s first team on Friday, and followed this up with goalscoring displays as Liverpool’s under-18s beat Middlesbrough 6-0 at the weekend.
Also on target was 15-year-old defender Niall Brookwell, who appears to be a real name for the future.
He has become a regular part of Gerrard’s side, and Liverpool’s official match report hailed his strike: “A fine through-pass from Camacho picked out Brookwell’s intelligent run and the 15-year-old showed composure belying his tender years in firing into the corner.”

Brookwell has won a lot of praise from Gerrard over the past few months, telling the Liverpool Echo last month: “Niall is as honest as they come. You always know what you are going to get from him.”
Back in December, Gerrard told the Echo: “A kid from the U16s, Niall Brookwell, was superb,” after bringing him on as a substitute.
Brookwell has now progressed to become a regular in the under-18s which says a lot about how highly regarded he is. Previously he had captained the under-16s.
It could be years before he goes onto represent Liverpool’s first team, but Trent Alexander-Arnold’s rapid progress suggests there is a chance that if he is good enough, he will be fast-tracked by Jurgen Klopp just as Gerrard has done.
