It was reported on Saturday that Tottenham Hotspur had slapped a £6 million valuation on Celtic loanee Cameron Carter-Vickers.
Tottenham loaned their USA international to the Scottish Premiership outfit last summer and the big defender has been steadily impressing.
Last week, Carter-Vickers picked up a first piece of silverware of his career by helping Celtic to a Scottish League Cup title at Hampden Park.
The 23-year-old seems to be getting better and better.
And going by his latest performance, Celtic may well accept Spurs’ reported valuation of the player.
Ange Postecoglou’s outfit won 3-1 away to St Johnstone on Boxing Day.
According to WhoScored, the Tottenham academy graduate clocked a whopping 140 touches of the ball, illustrating that Postecoglou builds attack from defence.
Not only that, but Carter-Vickers managed a pass success rate of 92 percent, bettered only by defensive teammate Carl Starfelt [94%].
Some cynics might argue that it was only St Johnstone, but the Celtic loanee – who also produced five clearances yesterday – has been posting quite a lot of dazzling performances as of late and, at £6 million, he might just be a bargain.
