The Senegal striker would also team up with another Everton flop, Tom Cleverley.

Former Hull City boss Marco Silva has been appointed as the next manager of Watford. The Portuguese has jumped on the Vicarage Road carousel after Walter Mazzarri’s departure.

The former Olympiakos boss nearly kept Hull in the Premier League, turning around their form after taking over from Mike Phelan but ultimately came up short.

One player he signed for Hull who proved a hit was Everton forward Oumar Niasse. He was signed on loan until the end of the season. The Senegalese, who according to the Daily Mail cost Everton £13.5 million, has been a total flop at Goodison Park and is not wanted by Ronald Koeman.

Silva would surely relish the chance to work with him again and a deal would be fairly easy to construct.

If they did manage to do so Niasse would join a fellow Everton flop at Watford. Tom Cleverley’s loan spell at Vicarage Road becomes permanent this summer after his disappointing stay on Merseyside.

Everton’s struggles may prove to be Watford’s gain.
