Jürgen Klopp has held his usual pre-match press conference before the Premier League clash between Liverpool and Burnley on Sunday.
Interestingly, the German shared what “always” happens in Liverpool’s group chat before a game.
What’s the story?
Well, the Liverpool boss revealed that those left out of the starting XI always send a message wishing good luck to those named in the lineup.
As quoted by the Liverpool Echo, Klopp said: “In this chat group, the players who are not available or not in the squad, they always send a message saying ‘good luck boys’ or whatever, and we had times when we had 13 or 14 players texting, which means they were not available for us.”
In our view, that’s a lovely touch.

It can be easy for players to feel annoyed after being left out of the starting XI, although it shows great character to still be a team player even when not involved.
It’s credit to the healthy environment Klopp has built at Anfield, in which there seem to be no bad apples among the group whatsoever.
Jürgen Klopp has the best group of his Liverpool career
As things stand, the Reds have never looked this strong under Klopp in terms of squad depth.
Liverpool have four incredible options at centre-back in Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip, Ibrahima Konate and Joe Gomez, while Kostas Tsimikas is a great backup for Andy Robertson at left-back.
In midfield, Klopp has a wealth of options, such as Fabinho, Thiago, Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita, Harvey Elliott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Curtis Jones and James Milner.

Now, the frontline also looks in fantastic condition following the arrival of Luis Diaz, who joins Diogo Jota, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi in attack.
With options like these to choose from, we’d be very, very surprised if Liverpool fail to win at least one trophy this season.
