Ideye Brown struggled at West Bromwich Albion but is flourishing in Greece.
Ideye Brown struggled to make an impact during his time West Bromwich Albion during his one season with the Baggies.
The Nigerian scored only four league goals in 24 Premier League matches at the Hawthorns, but is enjoying real success with Greek side Olympiakos.

Brown netted once again at the weekend in a 2-0 win over Larissa, to bring his tally for the campaign to 13 goals in 17 Greek Superleague matches this season.
The 28-year-old netted 10 goals in his opening season for Olympiakos and could be on pace to double that in his second season in Greece.
His performances are a contrast to West Brom’s own efforts up front, with Salomon Rondon leading the line with seven goals – but his closest teammate is defender Gareth Macauley with six goals.
West Brom paid a club record fee at the time to sign Brown from Dynamo Kiev of around £10 million, before letting him leave on season later.

It would be easy to point at a disparity in quality between the Premier League and Greek Superleague as reason for Brown’s success since and this may well be the case.
Rondon has been a more than adequate replacement for the Nigerian since he signed after Brown’s exit, but the Baggies only have one striker of note after failing to add a new face once again in January.
