Robert Kraft has seen six Super Bowl wins as New England Patriots owner, but a birthday surprise from Jay-Z, Meek Mill and Michael Rubin still left him stunned.

The clip comes from Kraft’s 80th birthday in 2021, and it has resurfaced because the reaction still lands.

Kraft is worth billions, yet the gift worked because his friends found the one thing he had been trying to get and could not.

Robert Kraft Bentley surprise from Jay-Z and Meek Mill goes viral again

A Dov Kleiman post showed Kraft reacting after Jay-Z, Meek Mill and Michael Rubin surprised him with his dream Bentley.

The gift was a blue drop-top Bentley, arranged by Rubin and delivered to Kraft’s home from Florida. Kraft immediately realized what it was and said: “That’s exactly what…”

His shock grew when Rubin explained how they had pulled it off. Kraft asked: “How the fudge did you get it? Because we couldn’t get it.”

That reaction made the moment better than the gift itself. Kraft had the money to buy almost any car, but scarcity turned the Bentley into something personal.

The group’s closeness also mattered. Kraft, Rubin, Jay-Z and Meek Mill helped launch the REFORM Alliance in 2019, a criminal justice reform organization built around probation and parole changes.

Robert Kraft built Patriots empire beyond one birthday moment

Kraft’s wealth now sits around $13.8 billion, with the Patriots still central to his public profile.

He bought the franchise in 1994 for $172 million and turned it into one of the NFL’s defining modern dynasties. Under his ownership, New England won six Super Bowls and became a global sports brand.

The money goes beyond football. Kraft is founder, chairman and CEO of The Kraft Group, with interests in paper and packaging, sports and entertainment, real estate and private equity.

He also owns the New England Revolution and remains active in philanthropy, including the Foundation to Combat Antisemitism and the Robert and Myra Kraft Foundation.

Rubin, Jay-Z and Meek Mill did not give the Bentley because Kraft needed another luxury car. They gave it because their friendship had become real through business, advocacy and shared causes.
