Earlier today, Jürgen Klopp spoke about Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz in his press conference, ahead of the Premier League clash between Liverpool and Leeds.
The Reds welcome the Whites to Anfield on Saturday evening, where they will be without the two aforementioned attackers due to injury issues.
Unfortunately, Klopp failed to offer much positivity when talking to the media about Jota and Diaz.
When will Jota & Diaz return for Liverpool?
Well, the German decided against putting a timeframe on the pair’s return, although he did issue a 12-word statement on Jota and Diaz which will surely upset Liverpool fans, hinting at a long spell in the treatment room.
Klopp was pretty coy when speaking about the forwards, with the Liverpool Echo quoting him as saying: “You don’t have to ask about Diogo or Luis for a while.”
Clearly, the 55-year-old expects to be without his No.20 and his No.23 for a substantial period of time.

Neil Jones – Liverpool correspondent for Goal – claimed that the Colombia international is set to return at the end of December after damaging knee ligaments in the 3-2 defeat against Arsenal.
In regards to Jota, the Portugal international may return just before the start of the New Year – Jones believes the Boxing Day clash against Aston Villa is a realistic comeback opportunity.
Liverpool need others to step up without Jota & Diaz
In Wednesday’s 3-0 win over Ajax, Harvey Elliott stepped up to score his second Champions League goal in the absence of Jota and Diaz, having opened his account in the competition against Rangers.
Now, Klopp will need the England Under-21 international, as well as the likes of Fabio Carvalho, to step up and score goals on a regular basis.
Liverpool can rely on Mohamed Salah to deliver, while Darwin Nunez and Roberto Firmino are also enjoying decent campaigns, but the onus is on Liverpool’s less prolific attackers to score regularly in the absence of Jota and Diaz.
