Mark Chapman told BBC Sport that Aaron Ramsdale was ‘so pumped’ during Arsenal’s win at Leicester City that he could go ’12 rounds with Tyson Fury’.

The Arsenal goalkeeper produced a Man of the Match display over the weekend, and the BBC presenter suggested that he would go toe-to-toe with the Heavyweight champion of the world if he was asked to, that’s how hyped up he was.

Ramsdale is fast becoming a fan favourite with the Arsenal supporters and it’s no surprise given the moments of utter brilliance he is producing.

That save from James Maddison’s free-kick is something that will remain in the memory bank of supporters for a very long time.

Whether it’s his performances, or what he is doing off the ball, Ramsdale is riding a high wave, as Chapman spoke about him being ‘so pumped’ at the King Power Stadium.

“Aaron Ramsdale is so pumped up right now,” said Chapman.

“You could probably ask him if he would go 12 rounds with Tyson Fury and he would probably say ‘yeah, no problem’.”

In recent times, Arsenal have been dealt a number of early knockout blows and have shown little fight during their times of struggle on the canvas.

But, aside from their opening three defeats, this Arsenal team is showing signs that they have been trained like a seasoned boxer ready to challenge the best in the world.

Whilst these recent signs are great from Mikel Arteta’s men, they are far from where they want to be, but it’s a lot rosy in the garden than it was before.

Of course, one defeat can change the mood pretty quickly, but this Arsenal team, for the first time in a long time, is showcasing positive steps.
