Aston Villa were relegated to the Championship after finishing bottom of the Premier League.

If there was one word to describe Aston Villa’s 2015/16 Premier League campaign, it would be disastrous.
After losing Fabian Delph and Christian Benteke to Manchester City and Liverpool in the summer transfer window, the club spent well to try to improve their squad.
A number of new faces arrived at the club, many from France, and there was hope that then-manager Tim Sherwood could avoid another relegation battle.
They started the season well too, with a win over newly promoted Bournemouth getting the campaign off to a flying start.
That would be their last win for quite some time though, as Villa went 20 games without picking up up their next victory, a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace in January.
By that stage it was too late and their fate was sealed, with the Villans dropping into the Championship before the season’s finale.
Here is a collection of pictures that sum up their disastrous 2015/16 campaign.
