Thomas Partey is thriving in Spain. Premier League clubs missed their opportunity.

Atletico Madrid have shown just how highly they value Thomas Partey by offering him a staggering new contract.
Just 12 months ago Partey was being linked with a move to the Premier League, with West Ham named as suitors for the Ghanaian.
He established himself in the team last season and has taken his performances up a notch this campaign.

Partey yesterday was rewarded with a new contract by Atletico which ties him to the club until 2022.
That is unless a club decides to pay the whopping 80 million release clause (£71 million) added into his new contract, report AS.
Playing for one of La Liga’s top teams, he was always going to be tough for West Ham or Watford to lure away, while Middlesbrough’s relegation last season ruled them out immediately.
Now Partey, who has 33 appearances in all competitions to his name this season, may be out of reach to all but Europe’s most elite clubs.
