Liverpool are said to be favourites to sign Stoke City’s Xherdan Shaqiri.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Stoke City are one of 12 Championship clubs from whom Liverpool are considering requests to loan Harry Wilson.
The winger scored or made 10 goals in 13 games for Hull last season, and has also impressed for Wales on the international stage, so it is little surprise that he is in such high demand.
But could Stoke be the most logical destination for Wilson, given Liverpool’s apparent interest in Xherdan Shaqiri?
According to the Daily Mirror (July 5 liveblog entry, 15:34), Liverpool are the favourites to sign the Stoke winger, after City’s relegation triggered a release clause of around £13 million.

And with the newspaper claiming that Stoke could ask for player on loan in return for Shaqiri, Liverpool may feel inclined to push Wilson in the direction of the Potteries, assuming they can convince the Swiss to sign on at Anfield.
Given the 21-year-old’s Wrexham upbringing, he would surely oblige if offered a move to the Bet 365 Stadium.
Where will Liverpool’s Harry Wilson spend the coming campaign?
