Partey passes Arsenal medical

Arsenal have been chasing Atletico Madrid star Thomas Partey for most of 2020, and with just moments of the transfer window left, they’ve got their man.

The London Evening Standard report that Partey has now completed and passed his medical ahead of a €50million (£45million) move.

Atletico Madrid have now announced that the release clause has been paid, so we’re expecting confirmation from Arsenal very soon.

Raphinha signs for Leeds United

Leeds United wanted to land a speedy winger before the transfer window closed, and they’ve managed to grab one before the window shuts.

Rennes wide man Raphinha has signed on the dotted line for Leeds, penning a four-year deal with the Whites having impressed in France.

The Brazilian, 23, has cost around €23million (£21million) according to Ouest-France, marking a major investment for the Whites.

Rangers confirm Zungu deal

After a lengthy pursuit, Rangers have finally secured the signing of Amiens midfielder Bongani Zungu.

The Gers have confirmed that Zungu has joined on loan until the end of the season, with an option to turn the move permanent in 2021.

The South African ace has been linked with Rangers for many months now, and Rangers have finally landed their man just before the deadline.

Everton won’t pay a fee for Olsen

Roma goalkeeper Robin Olsen is set for a loan move to Everton, with an agreement in place between the two clubs.

The 30-year-old won’t cost a penny in terms of a loan fee, with Everton landing the Swedish international in a bargain move.

The deal looks set to go through imminently, and it’s stated that either Jonas Lossl or Joao Virginia could move on as a result of the deal.

West Ham to miss out on Simakan

L’Equipe reported earlier today that West Ham were plotting a late deal for Strasbourg defender Mohamed Simakan – but they failed with an offer of €17million (£15.5million).

Now, Get French Football News (22:11) state that Simakan isn’t leaving Strasbourg, means he is now another defender West Ham have missed out on.
