Celtic have made a significant profit on the youngster they bought from Manchester City

Jeremie Frimpong has cited Rangers in his first words as a Bayer Leverkusen player.
The right-back has left Celtic for a shot at the Bundesliga in a surprise move, with Record Sport claiming the Scottish champions will receive as much as £11.5m for the player, as well as potential future add-ons based on the player and club’s performance.
Celtic signed the Dutchman for just £350,000 from Manchester City in September 2019, and he went on to win a domestic treble in his only full season with the club.
He is now in line to make his debut for Die Werkself on Saturday when they face Red Bull Leipzig.

Peter Bosz’s side knocked Rangers out of the 2019/20 Europa League in August, with a 1-0 win in Germany. The first leg saw Leverkusen win 3-1 at Ibrox, in the last game played before the shutdown was announced in March.
As quoted by the Glasgow Times, Frimpong recalled that double-header as he looked ahead to life in Germany.
The 20-year-old said: “It is a great opportunity to be able to play in one of the best leagues in Europe.
“I’m totally looking forward to the Bundesliga and, of course, this club in particular. Bayer 04 Leverkusen have regularly been in the Champions League and the Europa League.
“They demonstrated their ambition on the European stage last year in the two games against Glasgow Rangers.

“I really like the offensive, fast and technical style of play at Bayer 04 and I hope I can soon help the team.”
Frimpong’s former side secured their first win of 2021 on Wednesday night when Neil Lennon’s men beat Hamilton Accies 2-0 at Celtic Park.
The gap at the top of the Premiership remains 23 points, however, as Rangers beat Hibs 1-0 at Easter Road.
