Lyon are reportedly interested in a summer swoop for Bristol City star Han-Noah Massengo, who is also rumoured to be on Arsenal’s radar.

According to But!, the Ligue 1 side are keeping tabs on the 20-year-old midfielder, who is expected to leave the Championship side this summer with Bristol looking to cash in on their talented midfielder.

Massengo’s contract expires in 2023, and having spent a considerable amount to sign the Frenchman in 2019, Bristol will be looking to make some form of profit for their talismanic prospect, with Lyon and Arsenal eyeing the youngster.

As per the report, clubs in England and Germany are tracking Massengo, with the Daily Mail previously reporting that Arsenal were heavily scouting the midfielder, who has been excellent for Bristol in recent seasons.

Hailed as ‘remarkable’ by Football Bloody Hell, Massengo has often been touted as one of the most exciting talents in the English second-tier, and this summer could see the 20-year-old finally make a move away from the Robins.

However, Lyon’s interest in Massengo could complicate matters for Arsenal, who are looking to sign a central midfielder this summer with Mohamed Elneny set to leave at the end of his contract and Granit Xhaka’s future also in doubt.

Whilst Lyon sit 10th in the Ligue 1 standings, there’s no denying that the French giants would be an appealing option for Massengo, who would be severely limited for minutes should Arsenal win the race for the midfielder.

Indeed, whilst, the Gunners are looking to add to their central midfield, Lyon are in the position to offer Massengo regular playing time in the first-team squad, something Mikel Arteta will struggle to do for the youngster.
