Boubacar Kamara has spoken out regarding his future as he remains in the final six months of his Marseille contract. A move to the Premier League is likely, with Leeds, Newcastle and Manchester United all said to be keen.
Kamara, 22, has been excellent for Marseille over the past few seasons. Breaking into the senior side as a centre-back under Andre Villas-Boas, the Frenchman has sparkled for Marseille – more recently as a midfielder.
But he is out of contract in the summer and it remains to be seen if he will be sold this month – in order for Marseille to retrieve a fee. Or, he will go for nothing in the summer at the end of his contract, the latter looking likely.
The Mail say Leeds, Newcastle and Manchester United all want Kamara – while Spanish newspaper Marca say a fee of £10million could be enough. Now, Kamara has commented on his future at Marseille.
“Will I finish the season with Marseille? My contract ends in June. I will do all I can for the team to achieve the Champions League, if I stay. During the transfer window, everything is possible,” Kamara said, as per GFFN.
Leeds, Newcastle or Manchester United – which is best for Kamara?
Well, clearly, he is going to be a regular at Newcastle. He would start every game and be up there as one of the club’s best players – but as so many are considering, should he go there, with Newcastle sitting in 19th place?
At Leeds, he would also be a regular, but with Kalvin Phillips a better option in holding midfield – he might not start. Leeds do have constant injury woes and the chances are, he would feature in the majority of games.
At Manchester United, the question is whether he is good enough to start. United need a midfielder and the chances are, he would develop at Old Trafford. Arguably, he should take the risk and move to United.
