Villa deal close
Swansea City defender Neil Taylor has completed his medical at Aston Villa, according to a report in the Daily Mail.
Taylor will become Villa’s fifth signing of the January transfer window, with Steve Bruce’s side flexing their financial muscle this month.
Newcastle make move
Newcastle have been quiet in January so far, but the Mail report that Rafael Benitez’s side have submitted an £8 million offer for Angers forward Nicola Pepe.
Angers want to keep Pepe, at least until the summer, but Newcastle are hopeful of tempting the Ligue 1 side into a sale.
Oxford to Reading
Nottingham Forest are set to be disappointed, as West Ham United’s Reece Oxford is off to Reading (The Sun).
Forest looked set to wrap up a deal for Oxford, but Reading have swooped at the last minute to sign the youngster.
Birmingham set to sign striker
Birmingham City are set to land Watford forward Jerome Sinclair on loan, according to the Mail.
