Wolves have reportedly made a loan offer for Arsenal target Renato Sanches on deadline day.
According to the Athletic, the West Midlands side have made a late swoop for the LOSC Lille star. Wolves are confident that a deal can be done for Sanches if they work quickly enough to secure the midfielder’s signature.
Sanches has been a target for Arsenal as well as other Premier League sides for the majority of the transfer window. However, it appears that Wolves will win the race for the 24-year-old star.
The midfielder was key to Lille winning the Ligue 1 title last season. Sanches also impressed for Portugal during this summer’s Euro 2020 tournament.
With Lille needing to sell, though, the French club have been open to letting one of their star players leave this window. Yet it appears that Wolves have taken the lead to sign Saches on the final day of the summer market.
Indeed, it would be quite the coup for Wolves, who have formed a solid reputation for themselves in recent years for being able to sign outstanding Portuguese talent due to their links to super-agent Jorge Mendes.

Yet on social media, Arsenal fans were fuming that the Wolves were close to signing Sanches. The Gunners have been linked with the midfielder all summer, and so far have made no breakthrough in signing the 24-year-old.
