Andrea Radrizzani has been engaging with a Leeds fan on Twitter, where he made a big claim about his ownership of the club.

What’s the story?

Well, the 47-year-old was replying to a supporter who defended him against criticism, after the sacking of Marcelo Bielsa.

The fan in question claimed that Radrizzani had spent £40m of his own money trying to get Leeds back into the Premier League.

Interestingly, the Italian quickly disputed that figure, and hopped onto Twitter to reveal that he has personally lost £100m helping Leeds return to the top-flight.

You can see what Radrizzani tweeted in full below.

We like to see engagement between owners and fans, and it’s clear that Radrizzani is very passionate about Leeds.

It was particularly intriguing to see him write that he’d be willing to step down, although – as you can see above – he said that won’t be anytime soon in a followup message.

Andrea Radrizzani must face the music at Leeds

It was always going to be an unpopular decision to sack Bielsa, and it would’ve been naive of Radrizzani to not expect any criticism for doing so.

Unless Marsch hit the ground running – which he sadly hasn’t – the atmosphere at Leeds was going to turn sour, which it now has.

Supporters even sang Bielsa songs after Aston Villa netted their third goal at Elland Road on Thursday evening.

Clearly, it was a decision that is yet to pay off, and until it does, Radrizzani is going to have to face the music at Leeds from anxious fans.
