Southampton fans do not believe that there is any chance that Danny Ings will join Tottenham Hotspur.

Football London have suggested that Spurs want the Southampton striker, who finished as one of the Premier League’s top scorers last term.

Tottenham’s interest in the forward is apparently ‘strong’, but Saints fans are not unduly concerned over the rumours.

There is no doubting that Ings would be a brilliant addition to Tottenham’s squad, but it does seem unlikely that he would make a move to North London.

Tottenham do not exactly have an unlimited budget to spend on new players, and Southampton would surely want a massive fee for their star striker.

Ings hit 22 goals in the Premier League last term and losing him would be a huge blow to Southampton, if he was to depart.

Tottenham’s search for a striker is likely to see them look elsewhere, though, with Jose Mourinho once again stressing his side’s need to find a new number nine after their latest defeat to Everton.
