Charles Watts has an injury update for Arsenal fans regarding Thomas Partey and Sead Kolasinac.
Arsenal go to Liverpool on Saturday in the hope that they can preserve their unbeaten run in the Premier League.
Mikel Arteta’s side haven’t lost a game since August – a 5-0 defeat at Manchester City.
But the Gunners will have to play very well to keep that run going because Liverpool, despite losing to West Ham United last time around, have been exceptional this season.
Most Arsenal players came through the international break unscathed.
But Kolasinac is ‘definitely out’ according to Watts, who covers the North Londoners for Goal.
The former Schalke powerhouse suffered a horror injury in a World Cup qualifier defeat by Finland for Bosnia and Herzegovina last weekend.
There has been no update on the 28-year-old – who earns £100,000 per week at the Emirates Stadium – but Watts claims that he’s certainly absent for the Anfield trip.
Enormous
Partey could be massive, if he’s available.
The 28-year-old did not report for international duty with Ghana due to a groin injury.
And that was a blessing for Arsenal because it gave him two weeks to work on his fitness at London Colney.
Partey has been up and down in terms of form since joining the North Londoners 13 months ago but, on his day, he’s a huge player and it’s an enormous boost for Arteta if he can play.
