Liverpool will reportedly have to pay a club-record transfer fee of €120m (£101m) if they are to sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund.
According to Bild, the Premier League giants will have to fork out a British transfer record for the services of the teenage midfielder. Liverpool have been linked with Bellingham for some time, and work is seemingly being done to sign the Bundesliga star.
The former Birmingham City prospect has once again been on excellent form for Dortmund this season. Bellingham has played an integral role under Marco Rose, and Liverpool are putting plans into motion to sign the youngster.
With Bellingham an England international and one of the Bundesliga’s best midfielder’s, though, the 18-year-old talent will cost Liverpool a pretty penny should they put in an offer.
Indeed, the transfer race for Bellingham’s signature will no doubt be an intense one when Dortmund begin to allow offers for the Liverpool target.
However, with Erling Haaland likely to be the next big name to leave the club, the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United might have to wait until 2023 to sign Bellingham.
