Aston Villa beat QPR but one Villan came under fire on Twitter.
Aston Villa moved six points adrift of the playoff places on Sunday, but one of Steve Bruce’s player did not emerge unscathed from criticism.
The Villans beat QPR 1-0 at Loftus Road thanks to Jonathan Kodjia’s 75th-minute winner.
There was a number of stand-out performances by Aston Villa players, with Albert Adomah, Nathan Baker and Leandro Bacuna among those to impress.

But one man who didn’t do so well, according to fans of the West Midlands club, is Gary Gardner.
The 24-year-old midfielder was back in the side after being dropped for the 1-0 defeat at Norwich City in midweek.
And Aston Villa supporters weren’t overly impressed by the local lad’s contribution yesterday.

Gardner seems to be one of those players who regularly courts criticism from Aston Villa fans, and it was the same under Roberto Di Matteo.
Yet, he has been used by both managers so it would appear as if he does offer something – even if it’s difficult to work out what that is at the best of times.
