Liverpool nearly signed the Lyon ace back in June.

Long-term Liverpool target Nabil Fekir spoke to reporters regarding his failed move to Anfield earlier this summer, suggesting that he has put his disappointment behind him already, and some Reds fans took to Twitter in response to his comments.
The World Cup winning France international was on the verge of joining Liverpool in June, before his proposed move collapsed at the 11th hour, without any official reason as to why.
Fekir spoke to reporters yesterday, and insisted that he has put his failed switch to Anfield behind him already, as quoted by the Express:
“Yes, the missed transfer to Liverpool is totally digested. These are things that happen. It’s like that. We must advance. It’s ancient history. I heard several things. The real reason is that they (Liverpool) only know it”

The 25-year-old is a real talent, and would have made Liverpool’s front-line even more electric than it already is, had he moved to Merseyside this summer.
He racked up an impressive 23 goals and eight assists in 40 appearances in all competitions last season, and all eyes will be on his performances this time around.

All is still not lost of course, and the Reds could very well go back in for the Frenchman in January, or even next summer.
Some Liverpool fans took to Twitter today, in response to the Lyon ace’s comments regarding his failed move to Anfield…
