Jose Enrique has said on Instagram that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp should play Darwin Nunez on the left of a front-three due to the injury to Luis Diaz.

The former Liverpool star believes that the setback suffered by Colombia international winger Diaz is very bad news for the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners.

The pundit thinks that Uruguay international striker Nunez, 23, should be deployed on the left of a front-three.

Mohamed Salah starts on the right, and with Roberto Firmino now fit and playing well, the Brazil international forward should start down the middle.

Could it work?

In our view, Darwin Nunez could play on the left of a front-three and could be a short-term replacement for Luis Diaz.

Diaz is one of the best players at Liverpool who works hard, runs with the ball, takes opposition players on and creates chances for his teams.

And he can score goals too.

Although Nunez is at his best as a number 9, he does possess the ability to take on opposition players.

The Uruguay international striker also works hard, both on the ball and off it.

Firmino has been playing well for Liverpool so far this season, and it would make sense for Klopp to play the Brazilian down the middle.

The 31-year-old has scored seven goals and given three assists in 13 Premier League matches and has scored two goals and provided one assist in six UEFA Champions League games for Liverpool so far this season.
