Speaking on the Don Robbie YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Emi Buendia would love to join Arsenal.

We’ve been hearing about Arsenal’s interest in Buendia for some time now, but we’ve not had much of an insight into how the player feels about a potential move to the Emirates, until now that is.

Indeed, despite the fact it was reported earlier this week that Buendia would stuggle to decide between the Gunners and Aston Villa if both clubs came in for him,

What’s been said?

Romano was speaking about the possibility of Buendia joining the Gunners in the summer.

“Possibly, yes. He’s one of the players on the list for Arsenal. They reopened talks with his agents, they were talking with his agents in December. Then they decided to go for Odegaard in January, but now the situation is different,” Romano said.

“They opened talks again with his agent, the player is 100% open to joining Arsenal, he would love to join Arsenal. At the moment Arsenal are exploring some different opportunities, they’re not negotiation details with Norwich, so it could take some weeks to decide the key factors to decide the next signings, so a possibility, I would say yes.”

Go for it

If Buendia is open to the move, Arsenal need to pull out all of the stops to make this happen.

The Argentine was the Championship Player of the Year for a reason, and we’ve seen in recent years just how good players can be who come from the second-tier.

The 24-year-old is a quality player, and with the Gunners needing an extra spark of creativity in their side, he could be exactly the type of signing they need to make.

Fingers crossed Edu and Arteta can get this one over the line.
