Aston Villa managed to draw 1-1 with Hull City in their most recent fixture, when Christopher Samba was brought on as a striker.

Aston Villa fans have been left furious by Steve Bruce’s decision to substitute Christopher Samba on as a striker in their match against Hull City.

As Villa pushed for a winner against Hull, Samba was thrown on as an emergence centre-forward.

Villa proceeded to pump long-balls towards the powerful centre-back, in the hope one would fall to their forwards.

However, the Villa Park crowd have been left less than impressed by Bruce’s decision.

Samba has previously played up-front for Blackburn Rovers, but it is not like Bruce is short of recognised striking options at Villa.

Villa could only manage to draw 1-1 with Hull in the end, despite a spirited attempt to seize the three points.

The claret and blues had the lead when Gabriel Agbonlahor found the net, but Jarrod Bowen struck an equaliser for Hull.

Villa are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Colchester United in the League Cup.
