Chelsea’s Eden Hazard has made more successful dribbles than anyone else in the Premier League this season so far – by some distance.

The Belgian has set the standard for everyone else in the top flight with a whopping 100 contests won with the ball, having made 163 attempts.

Liverpool’s Luis Suarez is his nearest competitor – down on 63, despite contesting just three less than the 23-year-old in total.

Opta data shows Hazard’s sheer dribbling mastery, with only three players winning more than half of the contests he has this campaign.

On top of that, of course, the Belgian has 12 league goals to his name this term, as well as five assists. No wonder Jose Mourinho has given him more minutes on the pitch than any other Chelsea outfield player.

There’s also a lot Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers can take from the above table, as three Liverpool players making it into the top eight.

The inclusion of Liverpool’s Suarez, Raheem Sterling and Philippe Coutinho underline the expansive style that Rodgers has implemented at the club – one that is generating excellent returns for the Reds.

Much the same can also be said of Roberto Martinez at Everton, with both Ross Barkley and Seamus Coleman enjoying success in the dribbling department.

Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere and Aston Villa’s Fabian Delph complete the list – although it is 23-year-old Hazard who has by far and away stolen the show, with no one coming close to his phenomenal tally. The Belgian will undoubtedly be a key player as Chelsea hone in on the Champion’s League and Premier League titles.
