Leeds fans react to youngster Jack Clarke’s tweet

Leeds United teenager Jack Clarke posted on Twitter after the Whites earned an excellent 4-0 victory over Bristol City’s second string on Monday night – and fans have urged the club to give him first-team game time.

Clarke, 17, has shone in Leeds’ youth set-up this season, scoring 11 goals for the Under-18’s before the turn of the year. He has since been promoted to Carlos Corberan’s Under-23 side.

The striker started at Ashton Gate as the Whites eased to victory against the Robins, thanks to a brace from left-back Tyler Denton, an own goal and Sam Dalby’s second-half strike.

Clarke, who caused havoc from the wing against the Robins, posted on Twitter after the Under-23’s final game of the season, describing the win as a “great finish to the season”.

Though Clarke has failed to score for the Under-23’s since being promoted to Corberan’s side, he has certainly caught the eye considering his young age in a side that boasts players four years his senior.

Leeds fans reacted to Clarke’s tweet, urging owner Andrea Radrizzani to offer the youngster a “10-year deal” despite already having a current contract until the summer of 2021 at Elland Road.
