Everton started life under Ronald Koeman in relative ease on Saturday as they secured a 3-0 win over Barnsley in their first pre-season game.
The Blues had already won a game under their new manager after a 1-0 win in a training game in Austria last week.
However, this was their first official game under the Dutchman, and it was clear to see that they were keen to make a positive impression.
Kevin Mirallas got them off to a quick start with a fine free kick past the stranded Barnsley keeper early in the first half.
A second from Gerard Deulofeu followed in the second half after he raced clear and finished comfortably.
Ross Barkley added a third after coming on as a second half substitute when he turned on the edge of the box and smashed a rasping effort into the back of the net.
It was a big moment for the Toffees star, who will be keen to prove a point having been left on the bench for the entirety of England’s dismal time at Euro 2016.
