Everton continued their winning start to life under Ronald Koeman on Tuesday as they secured a 3-1 win over MK Dons.
The Blues had already won in pre-season as they beat Barnsley 3-0 on Saturday afternoon, Koeman’s first official match in charge.
And they followed that up with another impressive display against Karl Robinson’s side in this game.
Gerard Deulofeu got them off to a quick start as he capitalised on a horrendous mix-up between goalkeeper and defender to race clear, with the ball eventually hitting the back of the net via a defender.
He then turned provider for the second, racing clear of the unfortunate MK Dons defence to ping a ball back for Ross Barkley to calmly put the ball into the back of the net.
Giorgio Rasulo reduced the arrears with a fine curling effort before half time, but Muhamed Besic made sure of victory in the second half, again courtesy of a deflection off of a defender.
