After another fascinating weekend of domestic football, the Premier League now takes a break for international action.

All eyes were on White Hart Lane on Sunday as Tottenham Hotspur hosted unbeaten Manchester City.

It proved to be a happy afternoon for the hosts as they put in a composed performance to run out 2-0 winners and inflict a first Premier League defeat on Pep Guardiola in the process.

There was controversy at Turf Moor as Arsenal scored a last-minute winner, via Laurent Koscielny’s arm, to leave Lancashire with all three points.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger

It was hard luck on Sean Dyche’s side, who had matched the Gunners throughout and were worthy of a point.

Elsewhere it was joy for Stoke City as they secured a draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford, while Leicester City and Southampton drew 0-0.

On Saturday, Liverpool showed their title credentials as they came from a goal down to secure a win over Swansea City, courtesy of James Milner’s penalty.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte

Chelsea ended their losing streak with a 2-0 win over Hull City, with Diego Costa adding his sixth goal of the campaign.

It was not a good weekend for the teams at the bottom of the table as West Ham United and Sunderland could only manage a point against Middlesbrough and West Bromwich Albion respectively.

Watford and Bournemouth also played out an entertaining 2-2 draw, while Everton and Crystal Palace drew 1-1 on Friday evening.
