Tiger Woods has come under renewed scrutiny after his reported DUI arrest in March 2026, with Emmanuel Acho sharply criticizing the golf icon’s actions.

The 15-time major champion was arrested near Jupiter Island, Florida, after a late-night crash that saw his vehicle overturn following contact with another car.

Authorities charged Woods on suspicion of DUI, along with property damage and refusing a lawful test.

While Woods reportedly recorded 0.00 on a breathalyzer, officers said he showed signs of impairment, making the situation more complex. The incident has quickly reignited debate around accountability and responsibility.

Emmanuel Acho calls out Tiger Woods after DUI arrest

Reacting on an episode of the Speakeasy podcast, Acho delivered a blunt message aimed at Woods.

“Tiger, you got too many responsibilities, too much money, too much wisdom, and too many grey hairs to, at this big age, in this big year of 2026, be going to jail for DUIs. You got kids, you got a family name, you’re an incredibly impactful, significant, and successful figure,” Acho said.

He added: “And beyond all of that, this isn’t your first incident. So, for me, this is what happens when you let too many things go by.”

The criticism comes in the context of Woods’ previous 2017 DUI case, which resulted in a guilty plea to reckless driving. That history has shaped how this latest arrest is being viewed.

Acho’s stance reflects a broader reaction. The issue is no longer isolated, it is being framed as a pattern. That is why the response has been so strong across the sports world.

Tiger Woods’ latest DUI arrest raises accountability concerns

The latest arrest has brought renewed focus on the risks associated with impaired driving, particularly given Woods’ global profile.

“You’re putting everybody else at risk by driving under the influence. How many times are we going to see this happen? And I’m tired of making exceptions for famous celebrities,” Acho stated.

Reports indicate he refused a urine test after the crash, which typically carries additional legal consequences in Florida. Combined with the circumstances of the accident, it has added seriousness to the case.

For Woods, the situation now goes beyond legal implications. It directly impacts how his legacy is viewed off the course.

As the case develops, the scrutiny is unlikely to fade. This is no longer just about one incident, but how repeated situations shape public perception.
