The Blues travelled to the South Coast on Saturday afternoon looking to continue their fine start to the season.
It proved to be a highly frustrating afternoon for them, though, as Junior Stanislas’ goal saw Eddie Howe’s side take all three points.
In truth the Cherries were the better side for much of the game, dominating the middle of the park in particular.

Key to that was the poor performance of Gareth Barry, who was hauled off after 55 minutes by manager Ronald Koeman.
He managed just 31 touches of the ball in his time on the pitch, although all of those proved to be successful.
Defensively he was anonymous, failing to win a single tackle or interception and winning the ball back in the midfield third on just one occasion.

He also managed just one ball recovery throughout the game, further highlighting how ineffective he was in protecting the Blues defence.
His passing was also poor as he posted just 13 accurate passes and managed a pass accuracy of just 68% throughout.
A poor performance from the veteran, then, who will be disappointed after shining at the beginning of this season.
