Manchester United attacker Adnan Januzaj failed to make the most of his first Premier League start of the season against West Bromwich Albion on Monday.
Adnan Januzaj is widely considered as one of the most promising young players in Europe, but on Monday the Manchester United attacker had a disappointing game.
The 19-year-old started his first Premier League match of the season against West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns. The youngster was expected to give a fine display and show what he is capable of, but he failed to do anything of note.
| Position | Team | Match | Chances created | Total Shots | Shots on Target | Total Cross | Accurate Cross | Total Dribbles | Dribbles Won | Mins Played | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Adnan Januzaj | MF | Man Utd | West Brom vs Man Utd | 0 | 2 | 0 | 5 | 1 | 3 | 2 | 90 |
Despite playing the entire 90 minutes, the Belgium international failed to create a single chance. Deployed out wide, the youngster was expected to float in crosses, which he did, but only one of five was accurate.
Another stat that shed a poor light on Januzaj’s performance is lack of shot accuracy. He took two shots, but neither of them was on target.
One area where Januzaj exhibited his talent was dribbling. The teenager tried three dribbles and pulled off two of them.
Overall, it was a disappointing display from Januzaj, who failed to spark against West Brom as United drew the Premier League game 2-2.
