Much-hyped Newcastle United summer signing Remy Cabella has failed to spark their season so far, and there is one key reason. He can’t shoot.
The £12 million playmaker has not landed a single shot on target during four Premier League games to date, and fellow new boy Emmanuel Riviere is not much better.
Riviere has had one more effort than Cabella, hitting the target once but failing to score, with defender Daryl Janmaat putting both to shame with his efforts on goal.

Manager Alan Pardew’s job is under scrutiny, and if he does not last in his post, then closer attention will turn to so far underperforming players.
There is a strong chance former Montpellier attacker Cabella can come good, but starting to land his shots on target is an ideal place to start, and it would be no surprise if the coaching staff are working on this with him next week.
