Goldman ordered to pay legal fees to Libyan fund

A judge at a U.K. high court has ordered Goldman Sachs to pay the legal costs of the Libyan sovereign wealth fund, after the U.S. investment bank tried to have a $1 billion lawsuit filed by the fund in January dismissed.

Goldman Sachs has abandoned its bid to get a U.K. court to throw out a $1bn lawsuit by the Libyan Investment Authority that alleged the New York-based bank made about $350m selling it investments that turned out to be worthless.
