HMRC chief Lin Homer to step down


The chief executive of HM Revenue and Customs, Lin Homer, is leaving the role after four years in which she faced fierce criticism over a failure to answer millions of calls from the public and the HSBC tax scandal.

Caterpillar Group President Ed Rapp to retire

Caterpillar on Friday said Ed Rapp, a 36-plus-year veteran of the company and group president with responsibility for Resource Industries, is retiring as he battles with Lou Gehrig's disease.
