Lewis Hamilton has said he would like to celebrate his 100th grand prix with a win in Hockenheim on Sunday. He made his debut at the Australian Grand Prix for McLaren alongside then team-mate Fernando Alonso in 2007 and after a blistering rookie year in which he finished second went on to win the world championship a year later in 2008.

Jenson Button is optimistic that McLaren's new package of upgrades, their biggest of the season, that they have brought to the German Grand Prix will provide a significant increase in form after lacklustre recent performances that caused them to slip to fourth in the constructors' championship.
