£5.3m man Angelino produced so many assists in the Eredivisie and now he’s making a name for himself at Pep Guardiola’s Premier League champions.

Anyone who has watched Angelino produce pinpoint cross after pinpoint cross in the last two years in the Eredivisie will not be surprised by the impact the left-back made during a rare start for Manchester City on Tuesday night.
The Spaniard returned to City for a second spell at the Etihad Stadium over the summer, re-joining from PSV Eindhoven in a £5.3 million deal, and the majority predicted that the 22-year-old was set for a back up role in Pep Guardiola’s plans.
But after a fine performance in the 3-1 EFL Cup third round victory against Southampton, Angelino might have just given Guardiola another reason to scratch his head.

He was a constant threat down the left-hand side against the Saints, producing the kind of measured, consistent deliveries that £52 million man Benjamin Mendy so often fails to provide.
Mendy has returned to the City XI recently after yet another prolonged injury absence and looked sharp in Saturday’s 3-0 thrashing of Aston Villa. But the former Monaco man cannot afford to rest on his laurels with Angelino, who produced 19 assists in two seasons at PSV and NAC Breda, breathing down his neck.
