Cameron Coxe failed to make a Premier League appearance under Neil Warnock at Cardiff but he has still apparently caught the eye of Manchester City.

Manchester City are eyeing a shock deal for out-of-contract Cardiff City youngster Cameron Coxe, according to Wales Online.
The Wales U21 international is facing an uncertain future this summer. He is due to become a free agent at the end of June and, while he wants to stay at his boyhood club with Cardiff offering him a new deal, the 20-year-old is growing frustrated with his lack of first-team opportunities.
Coxe has made just one appearance for the Bluebirds at senior level, coming in an EFL Cup clash against Burton Albion in 2017. And the Merthyr-Tydfil born youngster barely made an impression as Cardiff were relegated from the Premier League in their one and only season back in the top flight.
Despite this, Wales Online believes that English champions Manchester City have been impressed by Coxe after scouting him at youth level in recent months.

City are short of options at either full-back position and Pep Guardiola perhaps feels he can mould the right-sided flyer into a potential replacement for the exit-linked Brazil international Danilo.
The report adds that Manchester City would have to pay a compensation fee of around £500,000 for Coxe, three years after they nabbed another of Cardiff’s most highly-rated youngsters – the winger Rabbi Matondo.
