Joao Cancelo’s Juve future is in doubt despite his impressive Serie A form, will he join Premier League leaders Manchester City this summer?

Manchester City are keen to sign Juventus right-back Joao Cancelo this summer, according to Tuttosport.
Despite being in pole position for a second successive Premier League title, it seems that City are planning to splash their considerable cash once again this summer with Sporting Lisbon skipper Bruno Fernandes nearing a £47 million move to the Etihad, as reported by The Guardian.
And it seems that a new right-back is also high on Pep Guardiola’s list of priorities with Brazilian international Danilo expected to leave.
Strasbourg’s Kenny Lala was linked last week (Le10Sport) and Tuttosport has now thrown Cancelo’s name into the frame.
The attack-minded Portugal international played a major role as Juventus won the Serie A title for an eighth straight season but his future has been thrown into doubt due to a lack of starts in the Champions League, with Max Allegri preferring the more defensively minded Mattia de Sciglio.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Juventus value the former Valencia and Benfica flyer at around £35 million. And City will likely face competition from rivals Manchester United for a player Jose Mourinho was desperate to bring to Old Trafford (El Desmarque).
Cancelo is one of many Jorge Mendes clients who have been linked with City this summer, the Premier League leaders seemingly keen to establish a relationship with one of football’s most influential power brokers.
