Tottenham legend Rafael van der Vaart took to Twitter today, delivering an impassioned message to Mauricio Pochettino’s men ahead of their Champions League clash with Manchester City tonight, and sharing his belief that they can make it past the quarter-finals.

Spurs have been in mixed form domestically of late, taking just four points from their past six Premier League games, whilst City have been at their imperious best, winning 22 of their last 23 games in all competitions.

Pep Guardiola’s side are arguably the best team left in the competition, so Tottenham will certainly have to be on their very best form, if they are to have any chance whatsoever of turning the Premier League champions over.

Despite Spurs’s sub-standard recent form, on their day they can beat anybody, and Pochetitno’s men will surely believe that they can get the job done over two legs against City.
