Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the Champions League draw.

Spurs will take on Premier League rivals Manchester City in the quarter-quarter-finals of Europe’s premier club competition this season.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side will host City in London for the first leg, with the second leg to be held at the Etihad Stadium.

City have one of the best squads in Europe, and Pep Guardiola’s side will certainly fancy their chances of winning against Tottenham.

With the second leg to be played at the Etihad Stadium, the defending Premier League champions will have an advantage.

However, Tottenham can certainly get past City, especially if they keep a clean sheet in the first leg at home.

After all, the Citizens can be beaten, and they have not exactly been hugely successful in the knockout stages of the Champions League.

While Tottenham are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League this season, City are determined to win the league title for the second successive season.

Former Tottenham striker Darren Bent gave his take on the Champions League draw, and said on Sky Sports Main Event on Friday morning (11:15am, March 15, 2019): “It’s tricky, it’s going to be really tricky, but, listen, as I said, Tottenham, look at their run. To get to this stage, they have played some big-hitters, so let’s bring another one.”

Former City manager Stuart Pearce said on Sky Sports Main Event on Friday morning (11:15am, March 15, 2019): “I think City won’t say it, but I think they will probably turn around away from home first, potentially, I think it could have been worse.”
