Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane is competing for the golden boot alongside Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Kevin Phillips has boldly backed Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane for the Premier League’s Golden Boot this season, with Liverpool’s Mo Salah and Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang currently level with him.
Former Sunderland hitman Phillips, who was top scorer in England’s top flight during the 1999/00 season when he netted an impressive 30 goals, claimed that he has a ‘sneaky suspicion’ that Kane is ‘so desperate’ to win the top prize.
Last season, Liverpool forward Mo Salah surprised one and all by finding the back of the net on an impressive 32 occasions for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Speaking to Weekend Sports Breakfast on talkSPORT (09/03/2019 at 10:55 am), Phillips backed Kane to win the Golden Boot this term ahead of his striker rivals.
“For me, Sergio Aguero is playing in the best team in the land,” Phillips told Weekend Sports Breakfast. “But I just have a sneaky suspicion that Harry Kane is so desperate to win the Golden Boot every season, it wouldn’t surprise me if he come up trumps towards the end of the season.
“I think it will go all the way to the wire. Aubameyang is scoring goals for fun, but if you put me on the spot, I would say Harry Kane.”

At this moment in time, Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero has the most goals in the Premier League with 18 strikes to his name for his title-chasing side.
Salah, Aubameyang, and Kane are all one goal behind the Argentine, who has found the back of the net after every 107 minutes – that’s better than anyone with 10+ goals this term [BBC Sport].
England international Kane did miss a number of games through injury, but since his return, he has scored against Burnley, Arsenal and during Spurs’ defeat at Southampton over the weekend.
Out of the players chasing the Golden Boot, only Kane and Salah have won the prize, with Aguero surprisingly never finishing top scorer and Aubameyang in his first full season in England.
